Unexpected Finds: Two More Professional Books

Yesterday I found two more books at one of the Half-Price Books, Records, and Magazines stores for my continually growing professional collection:
  1. Lightning Bugs and Other Reconnaissance Drones: The Can-Do Story of Ryan's Unmanned "Spy Planes", William Wagner (1982: Armed Forces Jourtnal International)
  2. Web Design in a Nutshell: A Desktop Quick Reference, Jennifer Niederst (1999: O'Reilly & Associates, Inc.) ISBN-10 1-56592-515-7 (This is the first edition; the current edition is the third edition.)
Both are "gently" used books.  I think I read a copy of Lightning Bugs 3-4 years ago,  and found it a very interesting history of the drone/unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) efforts of Ryan Aeronautical Co., now a part of Northrop-Grumman Corporation. Part of the intrigue was that one of the Ryan facilities mentioned in the book was near the General Dynamics facilities on Kearney Mesa, in San Diego, CA, when I was working in the Automatic Test Systems (ATS) Business Unit of General Dynamics Electronics Division, now a part of BAE Systems Inc.

I am looking forward to reading the chapters in Web Design on JavaScript, Cascading Style Sheets (CSS), and XML.
